Let’s go sledding!!

The Greenstone Snowmobile Club would like to inform everyone that all of our trails have been opened for over a month now. In fact, we where the first in all of Ontario to open a part of our trails this year. This would not have been possible without all the hard work from all of our volunteers.

The Greenstone Snowmobile Club would like to remind everyone to have a look at our website, www.snowclub.ca, for a list of all the poker runs for the season. One has already gone by, but the second one will be on Monday, February 15th 2016.

The Greenstone Snowmobile Club will again be hosting their annual Spaghetti Supper at the Longlac Moosecelac. This year it will be held on Saturday, February 13th, at the curling club. Everyone is welcome. Come out and support your local club and see a majority of our volunteers that work hard to keep snowmobiling alive in Greenstone.

The Greenstone Snowmobile Club would like to thank everyone who purchased a permit this year. We would also like to thank all of the sponsors and volunteers for all their hard work and dedication. A big thank you also goes out to the Municipality of Greenstone for financially helping us out this year, as both groomers were down due to maintenance issues. Without the help of everyone, 2014/2015 season would have been the last year for sledding in Greenstone. Thanks for everything.

The Greenstone Snowmobile Club had a rough go to get going, but now we have restructured the club and how it operates and we are in excellent condition to keep sledding in Greenstone for many years to come. We are even in the process of re-opening the trail to Hearst for our annual poker run to Hearst.

I hope everyone is taking advantage of our wonderful winter as not too many places have snow this year.

Get dressed, get out there, go sledding and have fun!
